Opened in 2017, the museum represents the result of the work of the Ferroclub Cuneese which, starting in 2015 and thanks to the availability of the Municipal Administration of Robilante and of the Italian Railway Network – Piedmont Regional Production Department, has developed a permanent path in which memorabilia and vintage photographs tell the story of the Cuneo-Nice line. A dynamic museum where each piece comes back to life, returning to its original functions; just think that inside there is a real operating level crossing. There is particular attention to the railway operation with a room dedicated to the manoeuvring and signalling equipment restored electrically maintaining the original characteristics and features giving the visitor the possibility of experience first-hand and perform the functions of the stationmaster.
A large three-level railway model allows the circulation of multiple convoys simultaneously in a typically alpine landscape. A child-friendly model faithfully reproduces the Limone Piemonte station. A room dedicated to locomotives and carriages, with objects and furnishings
typically of the period, driving benches of old locomotives and railcars, allow the visitor to know the operation of a railway vehicle.
