There are many roads that climb along the valleys from the village of Vernante: they are paths, mule tracks, cart tracks, which in recent years have been enhanced and restored with maintenance works (the cola ‘t roc-turusela path, via’ t la vila , valun bralongia, valun castlaa, valun ruinas, valun san gian, valun sec, valun ‘t l’arma,, the dei teit path and the one of pont’ t pera).

The path of Pont ‘t pera, which means stone bridges, is a path that begins at the Due Ponti locality in Valle Grande 3.5 km from Vernante, touching the village of Folchi, and then going back along a loop of 5.5 km, with 300 m of height difference that passes 7 stone bridges.

In history, stone arched bridges represent the most important category for diffusion and realization in many different geographical areas, remaining synonymous with the human structural genius. The path gravitates around this theme allowing the visitor to reach hamlets and small villages; at the beginning of the journey it is possible to admire two fine examples of humpbacked stone bridges.
